Located in the county seat, Charlotte, Tennessee, this three-story building consolidates the county’s multiple existing court facilities within its 70,000 square feet. The basement floor consists of a secure judges’ parking area, the Juvenile Courtroom, and an inmate and law enforcement entrance, which leads to the majority of the building’s holding cells and their central control. Secure holding cells are also located on the upper two floors near the courts that comprise the building’s largest area. The top two floors accommodate Circuit Court, Chancery Court, General Sessions Court, and Probate Court. A flexible multi-use room that can be configured to handle large conferences, Jury Assembly, Grand Jury, and Courtroom waiting is located on the main floor.
